HEJ!
I am a sound designer,
musician, and performance art enthusiast
from Visby, Sweden.
Welcome to my portfolio!
My musical journey began as an electronic music producer, refining my skills and creating a unique sonic identity. A pivotal moment came when I was offered to write a musical theater piece for children. This propelled me into the realm of music and sound design for theaters, and the resulting production broke ticket sales records, fueling my passion for immersive auditory experiences.
Stepping outside my comfort zone, I participated in a groundbreaking musical performance that prominently featured the concept of woman as the main subject.
Further enriching my career, I composed for a successful short film, adding diversity to my portfolio. Amidst this journey, I've received accolades, yet my focus remains on authentic expression and growth, exploring the boundless possibilities of sound.
Now I am pursuing a new project as a filmmaker! In 2023 I won a grant from Film På Gotland and am preparing to start my project production before 2024 ends.
For me, each project is a chance to challenge myself and create!
As the dramaturge, sound designer, and music composer for this distinctive musical performance focused on the theme - consept of "Woman" I immersed myself in the creation of an evocative soundscape. Exploring the raw sound textures of glass, metal, and plastic. I sculpted a soundscape that intimately resonates with the essence of the subject - society relations.
I prepared this performance idea demonstration video for the Mokhtas Experimental Theater Festival in Bandar Ganaveh, Iran, in 2020. The jury members were Narges Hashempour, Hamid Pourazari, and Mehdi Mashhour.
This was my first solo project in performing arts and I am actively pursuing an opportunity to bring it to life.
This is one of the six soundtracks I composed for the Elders short film, directed by Ramin Jahangirzadeh and Parisa Sedaei Azar. This project has been very successful with many awards from international festivals.
The challenge was to balance comedic elements with romantic themes, and I believe the showcased soundtrack effectively demonstrates my ability to navigate and blend these contrasting moods.
Project Liberation is an in-development video game where I serve as the sound designer and music scorer. With the story still evolving, I enjoy my creative freedom in selecting music genres and envisioning the dramatic dynamics of the soundtrack. This flexibility extends to crafting various sound effects (SFX), including alien fauna, with some examples showcased in the soundtrack's intro
My work also includes creating a wide range of SFX, from explosive impacts and melee and ranged combat sounds to human and monstrous effects, such as falling, taking hits, striking, healing, and expressions of panic and fear.
More info about the project:
I served as the sound designer and music scorer for this theater production, employing two distinct sound sources. The process of mixing and seamlessly transitioning between them proved to be a fascinating and unique experience. One of the sources was positioned behind a window, while the other emanated from a gramophone.
I did the sound designing and scoring for this promo for The Last Station game.
The Last Station is a game of intrigue and deduction set in the times of "Reza Shah" in Iran in which players are trying to survive on the last train home.
